Thank You Thank You Thank You
We want to take this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude for all of the support - financial and emotional - that the Town of Waterford and the surrounding area has shown our congregation since the fire at our church in April 2008.
In this tumultuous time we were blessed to belong to a community who so visibly stood behind us and our future.
For all of this we Thank You.

Community Open House
A Peek Inside
"Sanctuary view from back of hall"

"Windows at Main Entrance on Church Street"

"Memorial Hallway" looks onto Church Street where a Memorial Garden will be planted.
Here is a peek at the (finished but unfurnished for the most part) product. We are pleased to be using the sanctuary and the large Sunday School Room. There are still lots of bumps to be ironed out - audio-visual systems, the furnishings, paint touch-ups here and there - but the overall feeling is that we are home.

Re-Post of Drawings

To re-fresh our memories and so to compare the actual building
to the plans, here are the drawings for comparison.
The following rooms have been re-purposed but will sizes remain as shown:
The Common Classroom on the south side of the sanctuary has been divided in half and the newly formed room on the west side will house The Archives.
The Secretary/Treasurer Office shown on the north side of the sanctuary has been moved to the current parlour.
The space left by moving these 2 rooms (and the removal of the joint wall) is accommodating a large parlour easily accessible off the vestibule/memorial area.
As well, the AVR room shown on the south side of the sanctuary will be a "Baby/Crying Room" with visual access to the sanctuary, the AVR will be housed in a room under the stairs at the north east corner of the sanctuary.

Week 27
As you can see there has been a lot of progress since the last post. The weather is now a factor in the work that can be done but the building has undergone signifigant improvements.

Week 19
Construction has re-started at WUC and we are looking forward to visible progress now as they work to install the structure needed to support the steeple and work on enclosing the building before winter weather. Many of the windows have been installed as they work towards enclosure.

A New Beginning
After a Ground Breaking Ceremony on June 28, 2009, construction began on the new building (as described in the drawings below) located at the corner or Main and Church Sts in Waterford.
Excavation began the week of July 13 and in these photos, taken at the end of July the footings are complete and the forms for the foundation are in place.
